Run in with a vette!!!!

Had a little run in with what looked like a 200-2003 vette convert. He pulled up next to me a like 25 or so. I revved him and he looked over then we both hit it. I am stock and i stayed pretty much even with him. It was only from like 25 to like 60 and i might have had a slight jump on him but i dont think so. Anyway he looked over at me amazed when we came up on traffic. I guess he never saw a lightning before. If felt good to hang with a car like that. What a great day. I love this truck.

yep 25-60 is where our trucks shine....

however, i wouldn't go picking on C5s on the highway (60 - 100+mph rolls) unless you're modded....

i am pretty much stock. i have a cat back. I love trying to run faster cars then me. It is always fun to try. I aint out to prove nothing. I love to see what the other cars can do. I though i was gonna lose but my friend was pushin me to try adn get him to run. I have to say it was a great feeling and the look on his face was priceless. He is probably gonna go back to the dealer tomorrow and ask what is wrong with his car... lol I dont think he had any idea what a lightning was. It was fun.

I got that look several times while passing "sports cars" on the front straight at California Speedway.

Really? because my truck goes nowhere when I stomp it at 25. Doesn't down shift and takes a while to climb up in second gear. Pulls hard around 40 though and if I stomp it from 40-50 she hauls some a$$.

Sounds about right. A Lightning will give a C5 a good run untilla bout 70-80mph or so. But after that its all C5 ,especially from a roll.

I'm slightly modded. From a stop I can eat my buddy's 50k 95 ZR-1. He was very less than impressed....until we hit it from 60, it looked like I never even hit the gas, that thing BOOGIES on the highway. I guess its all in what the vehicle was built for!

ps You should have seen him trying to put his dirt bike in the ZR!!! (just kidding!)
