Cracks in gutter, WTF?

I was just washing and waxing my '00 L today and noticed cracks in both the gutters on the roof. They extend about 3/4 of the total length of the gutters on both sides. Has anyone else noticed these on their trucks. This really pisses me off since if I didn't wax it today I would not have gotten around to it for a while. It's always garaged and only has 9000 miles on it. My warranty runs out at the end of the month and they better cover it. I am afraid they will screw up the paint if they redo it and am wondering if it's worth it or not. If left unrepaired I'm also afraid it will peel off and then I'm really screwed. I thought Chevy's had the crappy paint jobs. Please let me know if anyone has had this happen.

Very common feature, along with the clunk feature, cracked fog light feature, and door crack feature. Did you think you bought a Lexus?

No Lexus here. Wouldn't own one of those POS's. I figured it was another flaw, since my truck has been in for all those problems so far, what's the next problem? I'm sure I'll be paying for that one.

Ive heard of it but havent experienced it. But it seems entirely likely. Your talking about a part with two very close sharp angles that resides on the top of your truck where the sun hits. All the expanding and contracting isnt doing it any favors. Take it to the dealer quick.

And no you didnt buy a lexus, but you paid a good amount of money for your vehicle and you dont need the ****.

Mine had it the day I bought it, of course I didn't check the roof for a week or so at my first waxing.

Mine had some kind of black sealant piled up in one area
TRYING to cover up a *** up. Like a wod of silicone or something.
What are those channels rubber ???? I was so pissed when I tried scraping it off and saw no paint there and a hole

ya it's still there, as I've said before
FORD WILL NEVER EVER TOUCH MY LIGHTNING PERIOD

I had it in both channels on my '99. The dealer painted the entire roof, and proceeded to get overspray on the entire truck... to top it off, the two reds did not match. The had to take the truck back and buff the overspray out... that finish was never right after that. I had to resort back to 3M polish to hide most of it.... that's what a buffer will do for you.

I also had the same problem on my 99. I took the truck in twice and it never came out good, and I also had the over spray on the truck. But never took it back, they left it worse if anything.

Thanks for the replies folks. Looks like this is an easy decision for me. I WILL NOT take the truck back to the dealer. I don't want it to look like crap when they're done. You can't see the cracks unless you're in the bed looking for them anyway. If they make the paint peel it will be a great excuse for a custom paint job. Thanks again for the help.
