Thanks Factory Tech:

As for the CSI theory, that is interesting to say the least. When I picked up the truck it had 12 miles on it so I not sure if anyone has driven it. I still haven't gotten it fixed, my wife has been sick and so I am doing mom duties. Hopefully will get it done today.

The best that you could hope for, would let the factory be aware of this mishap. That has been done thanks to Factory_Tech, so if it was me, I would install the bolt thru the seatbelt eyelet and go about enjoying my new truck

I just dropped the truck off a few minutes ago. I also got a email from a Matthew Tippin at SVT. What they wanted to know is VIN, delivery date and things like that so they can verify plant records.

It sounds like they are trying to find out why it happened and hopefully fix it so it doesn't happen again. This is about all I wanted to come out of this. If they can prevent an accident, that's great by me.

I am not suprized.
My 2003 was missing the reflector around one of the cargo lights and 2 of the 3 screws that hold the dome light were hardly threaded into the bracket. I havent found anything else yet, but I am looking.
Sorry that yours was a safety issue...thats serious business!
A real strange one is my new '03 L that I picked up last week had one dark gray plastic door handle (driver side) and one aluminum (silver). (passenger side) Both as you know should have been silver. Now, how the heck did the factory, dealer prep guy, salesman and all miss this screw-up. My 14 year old noticed it first, 2 days after I picked up the truck. Hmmm, even I missed it.. Correct handle is now back ordered. I called SVT 800# today and complained about having to wait a lengthy time to get a simple door handle of the right material and color. They are trying to locate a handle.

Just to let you guys know, seat belt is all fixed and good. I now have the dreaded clunk. It goes in this friday, so I guess that will be added to the list.

On the upside I got a little over 15mpg on my last tank. Not bad.
