Could be. I don't remember what time frame the rep indicated, thought it was fall or next spring. But sometimes neat cars like this have a way of sneaking into the country via the gray market.

I believe that names are only trademarked in certain countries. The mustang was a T-5 in Germany when it was exported there in the 60s because "Mustang" was a dump truck brand (i believe) there.

agree with you there buddy. They use tuned versions of the 1.8 out of the MG-F. Had one of those, the first motor threw a rod on the way home from the dealers. My first and last British-built car

Alphadoggy - looks as though the Elsie will get a new motor for the US: http://www.pistonheads.com/lotus/eli...p?storyId=6030

I'd wait until you see it though, I had a couple of grand deposit on the Lotus M250 three years back, then after 18 months they canned the project (I used the refund to buy my L!)

Good info. In order to get one I'd have to sell my truck, and I'm not ready to do that just yet.
