Feeling on a 6-speed Manual

I wanted to know your thoughts and feeling on the proposed 6-speed manuals for the upcoming SVT's!

I certainly would not buy Fords new truck even if it had 500hp with a stick in it.

The beauty of our trucks has been just dropping it in gear and going!

So how do you all feel?

Cool

I really like manual transmissions in sports cars and work trucks. But not in a Lightning. I see it as more of a cruiser and bruiser.

If Ford in fact actually produces a gen. 3 L. it will not have a stick in it.

I think Greg Evans the ford tranny guy said that was for show only and that there will be a auto in the actual production vehicle.

If Ford thinks they have alot of warranty claims on the Gen 2's, they've seen nothing yet if they put a manual in the Gen 3's...

Instead of blowing sparkplugs out the hood, they'll be blowing countershafts out the cab(it hurts your feet by the way when they do that...Hope they put a scattershield on those puppies)

I would pay extra for a true semi automatic gear box...

That would be cool

SVT I know your reading this, please no 6 speed, if they do it will be no lightning for me. Or at least the first mod would be swapping in a automatic trans.

well, the Lightning's my only vehicle. I really miss having a manual. I dont plan on buying a Gen3, but if it came with a paddle shifter or manual I might think about trading.
