Sal, I'm glad you made it out OK.

The truck will be repairable, but that's not important now.

There must have been a lot of fuel in that manigold to do so much damage. The track should have had full extinguishers. They know better than that.

Started pulling the carnage apart last night, it looks like the blast blew one of the fuel rails off the injectors on one side. That's probably where the continous fire was coming from, the fuel draining out the rails back down the motor.

Luckily, the bathtub section of the intake acted like a blowoff, taking the entire blast from it's thinner metal. The heavy part of the intake where the blower and heads bolt to it, was all still intact, so there was no blower, block, or head damage.

Sometimes you can learn a lot from watching and more importantly listening to a video of a run. I mount a camera in my truck just about every time I go to the track so I can play back any runs I had problems with.

Yeah it kinda does seem insensitive, but i think most of us here would like to see a video or some pictures.

I personally would like to see what the hell happened with the crew that was supposed to be there with the fire extinguishers.

Sorry to hear about the truck Sal. Sounds like its not all too bad but hope to see it all back together and ready to roll again soon. And now for the thumbs up. And maybe a beer. Yeah thatll do it.
