Found a used 2000 lightning for sale

delaer asking price was 21,000. Vehicle is mint with only 6,000 miles. My father-in-law is looking for an L and he is interested. Does this seem like a fair price? Also, I know to make sure the intercooler was replaced but I'm not sure what else to look for. Any suggestions?

That seems like a very good price,, since if i was to sell my silver 00 with just under 12,000 miles i'd want more than that,,,

It is a really good price coming from a dealership but
don't forget the manufacturer warranty is probably up
or close to it. Find out how much for extended warranty
will cost. I would not buy it without one..

I'll sell you a 99 for that price with mods and a new head and a new intercooler on it. The head and intercooler still have a one year warranty on them.

thats a good deal, check the underside for rust, the front end for scrapes, the clunk, cracked fog lights, intercooler, and physical shape in general etc...

Thumbs up Go 4 it !!!

That sounds like a good buy, but try and get them down to 20 grand. I'm sure they'll bend a little bit, good luck and I hope you get it, John H.

Sounds like a great price. Also, if the warranty is not up yet, you can purchase more years/miles after the existing one transfers.

Also, run a carfax, etc. and make sure the truck is clean. Run a fine comb over it and find out if it's 100% stock, modded, what mods, etc.

I got my 2000 for 23K with 17K miles and in absolute Mint condition. I would say that's one hell of a deal if it's in near perfect condition. Dealer was asking 23.5K and all I could talk them down to was 23K. I would take that in a heart beat. Make sure you take her for a ride and maybe to a local mechanic that you feel comfortable with. That ride is still an infant.

Yesterday saw a used 2001 L at a local KIA dealership here
in Athens...26k...It was silver and the front bottom fascia
was pretty banged up...dont know the mileage...think this Bolt may have had rough treatment.

Hmmmm.... Either the salesperson mis-spoke or was lying. The dealer now wants $25,000 for the truck...not $21,000 as I originally believed. Oh well....

I guess this is good news for current 2000 L owners as far as truck value goes, eh?

if 99 are worth 25,000 bucks then a 03 with all the updates more threads in the heads and factory warrenty 29,999 like i have seen them advertised around seattle area is a good deal. i wish i would have waited and saved up a few more grand to put down on a new one. just my opinion.
