There was no track prep and it was hard getting traction off the line. I aired down the F1s to 24psi but other than that the truck was stock with full trim. I also ran with a little less than a half tank of gas.

Overall I averaged 13.9s but my 60' were all over the place. I did get a 2.097 60' once but the rest of the time I was either 2.1-2.3.

those are consistent with my times...my best was a 13.8 100 percent stock and mine is an 03 also....ill be putting on a 6 pounder and chip along with my rem filter so hopefully ill be in the 12s next time out

 

Sounds exactly like my first run down the track bone stock 13.7. Hell even all the other times are about the same too(60ft, R/T 1/8mile ect....) Just put on a fastair and filter kit from PSP and took off my trailer hitch can't wait to see what that will do for my times.

 

I think thats excellent for a stock truck, especially the mph I only wish I had taken mine to the track when it was stock, so I would have a base line starting point

 

potac, Nice times, what was the air temp if you don't mind me asking?

 

The racing started at 4pm and the temp gauge in the truck said it was 64F. I think my last run was around 7:45pm and it was 54F.

 

Those are good times for a stock truck.....practice practice practice, and you'll get those 60' times down, which of course will net you better times at the end.

Hey, I was just looking at your pics of your SC/d Jeep......Nice setup..............Have you ever taken it to the track........If so, what times are you running with it? Any interesting kill stories with it?

Thanks. My uncle, cousin, and I installed it over a weekend about a month and a half ago. Right now I am still in the tuning stage with the Jeep so I have not taken it to the track. I am trying to figure out why I am only getting 4psi of boost where I should be getting at least 6psi. It also does not feel any faster since the SC so I know something is wrong.

In a couple weeks I will be installing headers and then will find a shop around Seattle to help troubleshoot with the SC. Once I get it up and running, I am definitely bringing it to the track. Running at 6-7psi and with the other mods it should really give my Lightning a run for its money. Already the Jeep can rip the Lightning out of the hole so now it just needs more top end.

 

my father-in-law just installed a vortec in a 01 dodge ram 2500 4x4 with the 5.9 and the truck screams. He installed 4:10 gears or 4:11 what ever the mopar set up is and his truck is quick. I have drove it and don't know if my stock L can take it or not. But it will ball all 4 tires when you roll on it hard.

Any how he is running 8 psi of boost and has had alot of puter programing done to it. He is a pretty good grandnational builder so he knows what he is doing. He is going to take it to the local 1/8 mile track as soon as his grand national into the 5's so that should be soon. he's running low 6's now and is still dialing it in.

I will post what his times are when I get them.
