how much $$$ to powder coat rims ?

i think i'm going to buy a used set of wheels and get them powder coated white to match.

what wouldn't something like that cost ?

or i could always have my paint shop do it, but they take way to long to do personal stuff

About 350-450. Centercaps might be extra...

It all depends on the shop but I would say about 400 average.

I think turn-around on mine was about 2 days. I had the tires removed Tuesday night, delivered the wheels to the coating place Wednesday morning...Got them back on Friday.

It's been almost a year, no cracking, chipping, seperating...Just perfect.

Everybody has their own taste but i would like you to know i have seen a lightning locally with color matched wheels and it really looked cheesy.I mean its nice to be different but I just didnt care for them.It was white..........Black/Black would look cool ONLY with a polished lip To me it would kinda look like "your wheels were ruined so you painted them look" Like what people do when their chrome wheels rust and they buy "chrome' in a can or something.....02

I disagree. I am getting ready to have my wheels painted and clearcoated. I found a good photo of a white truck with painted wheels and it looked very good. Some colors dont work but white will look good.

I actually didn't have the center caps done. I left them silver.

But yeah, I was surprised at how cheap it was.

I kinda like the Black on Black myself.

For only a hundred a rim, I should pick up a set for the front and use them with skinnys at the track "and for summer fun on the street". But unfortunatly I won't have a home track after this yr so who knows.
Maybe I should anyway, and use them along with the slicks "Thats would be fun on the street" I did picked up another POS to drive in the rain

Ya the VW Radiator went, and a few other problems, it wasn't good enough to put any money in so I found this 4cyl stang for 500 from the original owner. As for my tips, I think they're beyond being able to clean up anymore
