Nitrous or KB?

What would be better money spent? Nitrous or a KB blower from a durability, tunability and performance standpoint?

KB. Power is there all the time. you don't have to worry about refilling the bottle and running out of nitrous. Plus nitrous is not allowed on the streets in some (if not all) states. Just my $0.02

Well, there are quite a few arguments to that question, but here are my thoughts.

I'd go for the Kenne Bell. Personally, I don't put on a power-adder for JUST when I'm racing - I like to utilize it all of the time. I'm not saying that you can't do that with Nitrous.... But it gets expensive to refill a bottle.

Otherwise, I think that they'll both do the same amount of damage to the motor over time, but the Nitrous will most likely be used less often.

It's faster to swap pulleys than Nitrous jets, so the blower is more flexible for tunability, not to mention, it's more consistent.

Also, I'd personally feel safer without a 10lb+ bottle of combustible gas (not counting the 25 gallon gas tank!) in my truck.

Only 1 thing - Nitrous - @$1000 for a kit. Kenne Bell, @$3000.

I like the juice for this reason

I can't possibaly put down the power I have now on the street, so what am I gonna do with more ??? I can't floor it now in 1st or 2nd even with just my mild mods and no juice. And since the weak link is our bottom end, I like to only stress the motor WHEN I HAVE TO. Since 6-8 lbs of extra boost 24/7 is too much for my safety margin, I run it with 4lbs of pulley all the time, and sometimes add my 2lb quick change upper to make it 6. I never leave it on too long, and never ever in the cold months. So far I ran (2) 12.7's and (2) 12.8's with 4lbs and no juice. But then with a simple $600.00 Zex Kit, I immediatly went to (2) 12.0's @112MPH the 1st time out with the juice using 65HP jets.

I knew with the KB I would have needed tunning and dyno-ing and that 3g's will easily turn to 4. So for me, the juice was a better safer way to go, and much cheaper. Plus I kept it safe for normal daily driving. I'm not saying a KB isn't safe, I'm saying with that extra HP 24/7 on a stock lower, comes more chance of a problem. Of course this is only my take on it and I would however rather have a built bottom end, a KB, and major boost over my current set up.

Nitrous is not a combustible gas.
