The cover looks good and the gears look better. Glad to see everything is O.K.

Brooks: I'm no rear-end guy(in ANY way--get your mind out of the gutter Gator ) but I agree, those gears look great with almost no wear showing.

Which weight oil did you go with? Where are the clutches(I don't know what they look like.)? I think mine are going/gone out as the left wheel doesn't want to rotate in a burnout.

since you mentioned my previous post on the jdm billet cover installation.

i should add something.

I believe in my original post I indicated that I did not reinstall any friction modifier with the gear oil.

This is something that I have done MANY times in the past while doing mustang gear swaps.

However on the truck I developed a shudder when accelerating and turning at the same time.

I had to go back in and drain the oil and refill it with friction modifier this time.

I attribute this to my truck having VERY low miles at the time of the install. I think that clutches that had been running in friction modifier for a longer period of time would have been fine, mine were just too new and hadn't had enough "soak" time.

later,
chris

What do you mean sometimes....how about almost all the time.....
Or even worse, when something that should take a couple of hours, takes 4 and 5X as long

[**I have a potty mouth**] Supercharger!!

Done venting....
