chip and pulley might get you into the 12's, depends on the truck, and depends on which pully. I hear its really to sell a truck with mods on it so you might be able to find one with all the goodies and make a deal. Wouldnt surprise me if your insurance dropped quite a bit going from the stang to the L. Dont even ask about the milage, you dont wanna know.

Oh yeah and it depends on the chip. Exhaust probably wont help you for awhile.

If you need to be talked into it, it probably isn't for you. Towabilty seems to be your first concern, so just by a good used F150 or 250, and with the money you save pour it into your 'stang.

BTW, why do I get "Stolen Image" when I click on one of your links to the pics??

If you ever drive one with a 4# pulley and a chip? You'll KNOW why you should have one. See my sig.

If you havent test driven one then go do it and you will be sold its that easy. If you have test driven one and you still want to be convinced then you need to be committed.

Yep I have run at Woodburn a few times, PIR as well. What part of town are you in. Might be able to hook up and take you for a ride. Buddy of mine is a car broker and he just sold a black 2001 with 35,000 miles for $22k. Cheapest I have seen around here. Insurance should be less than the Mustang. I get about 11-12mpg in town and 15-17mpg hwy if I behave. Mine is a 2000 so I still have the stock 3.55 gears. Very little fuel economy difference between the 3.55 and the 3.73. With a chip, filter, and pulley you can get into the 12's if you can get traction.

SilverBolt. Thanks for the offer. I'd love to take you up on that offer. Right now I'm traction bound with two busted legs from flipping my grizzly at Sand Lake, so I'll email you when I'm walking again.

Thanks for everybody's advice.I guess my concern is that this would be as reliable daily driver as my 5.0 mustangs always has been. I'll shut up and go test drive one soon.

Oh and my link didn't work because www.dfwstangs.net hosted it, and they blocked it. lol
I'll try it again:
