Opinions on SoCal endlinks

I lowered my truck with the FRPP 1/2 kit last year. A few months ago, I swapped my front end links for some "correct" lenght ones. I definitely felt an improvement in handling. Now I'm thinking about doing the rears with the SoCal links; but I don't want to spend that much money and be disappointed. Any input?

Thanks,
Edward

Every person that has owned them has complained of the noise. Apperantly they just rattle, and rattle.

Don, and Tim both steered me away from them.

As they come from So-Cal they are noisy; but, throw some Seals-it rod end seals (and some grease) on them and they are silent. Just like anything with a rod end, they will make noise unless you do something about it.

I took mine off and just drilled a new hole 2 inches higher in my frame rail. It does the same thing and only cost me a few bucks for a good drill bit.

Have you done this?

Should this work, then I would take a second look at the So Cal links.

Don you still have a set lying around?

Mine were greased before they were put on and I haven't heard any rattling.

Edward,

You could build them yourself and save some $$. Shoot me an email and I'll dig up the parts list.

I'm happy with the end links and don't notice the e---vil rattle.

Sealsit product will be added to my setup just to keep dirt and tire remnant from the heim.

A couple alternatives would be to cut/weld the stockers or drill a hole in the frame relevant to the rear drop/sway bar parallel.

Bob

Bob I could use that list as well, unless Don still wants to give his away.

I have the So-Cal links. Nice pieces.

I don't have them on right now because I took them off for rattle diagnosis (no rattle found) and have not yet put them back on.

But I also have drilled several holes in the frame for various mounting options. This works nearly as well, but the adjustable links let you find the right swaybar angle before you drill.

I will probably put mine back on one day, but need to add some spacers under the swaybar mounts first to provide some extra clearance for the diff cover:

Note the So-Cals are in a higher hole I drilled:

Tim,

That picture reminds me of something…

How much clearance do you have between the bottom of the bed, and the pan hard bar?
