Pulleys

I am taking the advice of the forum and getting Chip, Pulley, Filter as the first mods for my L. What performance differnce is there in a 2#, 4#, or 6# pulley. And also is it a good Idea to get the JDM interchangeable pulleys, and how hard is it swap the interchangeable pullyes out? Thanks

Get the 4 and 6 interchangeble pulleys. If it is a daily driver i would definately get the 4 but use the 6 for the weekends and the track. Where you from?

Well, most recently we have this episode ...

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=114753

And this one....

https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...t=Caged+Pulley

And there are many more around. I would suggest using
a non-caged pulley from PSP or JL. Either way you go,use
the search here to find more about what you're buying into.

Jsut search for "caged pulley" and your edumacation will be
complete.

Once you get the OEM(it's a bastard!) pulley off, the aftermarket pulleys are relatively easy to change whether you get the interchangeable ones or not.

Latest research suggests that two or three taps with a
5 lb. hammer on an 18" breaker bar works VERY well. It's
all about "breaking" it loose, not muscling it off.
