Make My L Faster

I just bought a 2003 lightning (my graduation present to me ) And I was wondering what the best (most cost effective) ways to speed it up a little. I don't want to go completely all out with after market mods, but I would like to add some HP, and drop the 1/4 speed some. This is really the first "fast" car I've owned, and I just wanna look at some people in 4 cylindar foriegn cars shaking thier head at the fact that they lost to a full sized truck.

Thanks for any input

chip and filter

call all the tuners and find the one you feel the most comfortable

I chose JDM, but they all do a great job

By the way welcome to the family

Yep Chip, filter, and pulley are your best choice if you don't want to go all out right away. Welcome to the board you can learn more than you ever thought about your truck from these guys!!!

Wink Check out the boards for a while

Enjoy the L stock for a bit. Read the boards and become informed about the L and the various vendors that make products for them. The big 3 are JLP, JDM, and PSP. All make good quality products. Customer service is a big consideration. Most bang for the buck is chip, pulley, and filter. 4lb lower, street/strip chip, filter and you can bang out 12.6's with little effort. Just ask my bud Blown93 aka blownlightning.

Good luck with the purchase.

Hmm.. I didn't even think about that. What can I do without voiding the warranty?

Not much you can do to the engine except an Filter kit and even then some dealers will question that.
