L Running Rough AGAIN!!

History of my L: Ran rough one year ago and the dealer replaced the #8 coil pack and my L was up and running until this month when it happened again. Brought it to the dealer and they replaced #8 coil pack. All good for about two weeks and then I had the same problem of running rough like it was missing. Brought it back the dealer and they said that four spark plugs, two on each side looked bad and they could not explain why. They replaced four spark plugs and plugged the boost bypass plug back in.

The service writer told me that by disconnecting the boost bypass may have been the problem of to much fuel thus messing my plugs up. Does this sound possible?

Your service writer doesn't know of what he speaks .

Read what Lightningtuner posts says--more than one:

The Saga contines. I talked to the mechanic that worked on my truck and he told me that the reason the sparks plugs were bad was bacause they were loose and it fried the plugs. My truck was running good for a week after they installed four spark plugs until yesterday when the same problem occured is there anything Ford will do for me (Lemon). Now I have to go back to the dealer for the fourth time in the year and half that I have owned this truck for the same problem.

I believe the "Lemon Law" is 3 times w/o correction for the same problem.
And it depends on the State you live in too.

Received a call from the dealer today and they told me that they cannot find any problems and my L is running fine. I ask what codes were stored in the computer from the check engine light and he told me no codes were stored.

I looked up the lemon law here in IL. and filled out an online survey and this it what the law firm wrote back:

I received your inquiry from our website regarding a possible "lemon law" claim with your vehicle. Based upon the information that you provided, we believe that you may have a valid claim under both state law and the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Please fax your purchase documents and repair orders to me at (312) 873-4400. After I receive the documents, I will contact you to discuss your options. If we accept your case, we will proceed on your behalf and charge the manufacturer and/or dealer our fees separate from any settlement or judgment obtained on your behalf. The Federal Statute provides for these attorneys fees paid on your behalf. No attorneys’ fees will ever be charged to you for our legal representation.

Our firm has been helping consumers throughout the Mid-West since 1995. Although we cannot guarantee results for any case, our firm has only lost less than 1% of our cases while successfully handing over 6,000 cases.

If you have any questions prior to forwarding your documentation, feel free to email me at your convenience.

There must be stored codes unless they are clearing the computer! OBDII stores these code for a simple reason! they will reset the mil after so many key cyles to see if they happen again
If they are telling you that there is know memory than maybe there is a ground problem to the pcm! but even then it should store the codes! just my .02

PS Im no drivability wizard! just a thought!

Conclusion to my Problems: The lemon law worked in my favor and I won a $5000.00 settlement but Ford would not take the truck back.

Total cost to Ford: $5000.00 to me and $2500 in fees to the law office, for a grand total of $7500.00

Since then I have gotten rid of the truck and the problem still exsisted. I just wanted to say that everyone here has been great and I felt very welcomed here at F150online.

See Ya Around,
Snakes
