Big Thumbs Up to Kenny Brown and Crew !!!
Big Thumbs Up to Kenny Brown and Crew !!!
A fellow Lightning owner toasted his pads/rotors at
IRP and we had to do an "on-Track" repair. Kenny's
race crew loaned us some Royal Purple grease for the new
rotors, and several other things.
Luckily, I had done the same thing to my stockers at
Putnam earlier this year so I did have all the necessary
tools to lend a hand. (Be Prepared !!!)
IF YOU ARE GONNA ROAD RACE YOU NEED TO BRING EXTRA
PADS AND FLUID. PERIOD.
Just wanted to thank Kenny and call them heros. This is
what the SVT experience is ALL about brothers.
Cliff
PS.... It was a pleasure meeting all of you this weekend ...
I can't possibly remember everyone's name, but you are
a GREAT group of truck owners. We had about 12 Lightnings
there chasing Speedin Bob around hte track ....

Whats Happening V
My scanner died ..... "Christine" was so photogenic that
the DRP (Digital Racing Photography) guy Jack took about a
THOUSAND pictures, and even had one POSTER size printed up
for Saturday's Driver's meeting .... It was the ole no. "7"
being chased around the track by about 8 Mootangs....
LOL ... Wish it was the final lap instead of the first ...
I am getting a CD from him and with Doug's permission I
will post some links.
PS... Speeding Bob's truck is awesome in person ... I need to
get that PAN HARD from Stan

Cliff,
It was indeed a pleasure to meet and hang with you and others this weekend. Your covering the post-event Hooters bill was unnecessary but GREATLY appreciated. Next pitcher of Heineken is on me chief!! Thanks again for the use of the electric impact wrench! Must have item for sure.
When you told me to park "Next to tower where the Black Lightning without brakes is parked," the initial thought was "UH OH!" and was confirmed when I saw this...

You are 100% correct in that "IF YOU ARE GONNA ROAD RACE YOU NEED TO BRING EXTRA PADS AND FLUID. PERIOD."
Your assisting in the brake repair and stopping in a safe location to assist the Cobra in front of you that ended up taking a HARD hit is a fine example of your character. Good man!
22 gallons and ONLY 144 miles on the tripometer at fill up this morning... Smiles per gallon.. heh heh heh
Glad you had a good time and I look forward to L-Fest and Putman in October.
How did today's straight line action turn out?
Gimme a call anytime!
Bob
ps. Got a name, number, or website for the DRP?

Kenny Brown is indeed a very nice guy, as well as his crew. Wasnt aware he was out there with you this weekend
Road Racing in indeed, the toughest kind of racing you can do to your truck. You may even want to keep an extra set of rotors on hand.
Tools
Speedbleeders
2 Bottles Of Fluid
2 Sets Of Pads
1 Set Of Rotors
