I'm not talking about the 04 Lightning with 500 hp. I'm pretty well aware that the z will get smoked if that were the case. The z will go 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, but I'm not sure about the 1/4 mile times. Oh, and it has 287 hp if that helps any?

I raced a 350z up to 100mph in the Harley F-150 and we were neck and neck. He started to pull a little at 100mph or so ,but there was traffic up ahead. A L should have no problem with a 350z.

It's not always about straight away speed. The new Z cars are pretty impressive and I like the looks. Why can't we just give other types of vehicles respect. I'm a fan of all nice vehicles.

theres so many now they are kinda getting old. i had one riding my *** the other night dicing in and out of traffic behind me...guess he had somewhere to be. got to the point where it was too dangerous for me to be close to him. they are annoying when people hard drive them like ferraris to look cool.

When I first saw the car in person, I was blown away by the looks. I don't know if its grown on me or that I see them every where, but it just doesn't do the same any more

I have read reviews on the new 04' 350Z at Edmunds I think it was, and they said the car was comparable to the porshe boxster in looks and style. But the performance was a little lacking compared to the porshe. I know the porshe is a whole different monster, so I won't compare the two. They said acceleration was great at 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, and the car had absolutley remarkable handling characteristics, but the understeer was a little harsh. And body roll through the corners is little to none if any. These are a few things from off the top of my head that I remember. Oh, and the braking distance was very short at around 120 ft from 60-0 if I remember correctly. It will have Brembo brakes all around. The 350Z will be produced in different packages ranging from the "base" model to a "track" model, and another package that I can't remember as of now. I don't think they'll have a turbo in 04', but in 05' it might be different story. On another note, I hope I can find a good paying job when I get out of school so I can get my grubby little paws on one. HeHe.

14.1 you say? Not bad, but still the L is faster. I was thinking when I get out of college in 04' an get a job, I should have my current truck payed off by 05'. So my question is, what are my chances of finding a used 03' L with under 20k miles? That would be the only way I could get an L. Because the 500hp/500trq version is a bit to much for me unless I change my mind. If I had a beast like that, I'd end up wrapped around a tree somewhere.

Turbo out sometime this fall!

One of car shows had Greddy already turboing a Z? Looks pretty good, but fit & finish, especially in interior not that hot. Epedemic in all Nissans. Like the G35 Coupe better! Much better fit & finish, plus only a couple k more per trim level than Z. Z doesn't have glovebox or sunroof, G does! Was thinking of selling my '95 supra with only 31k miles for G, or selling before Supra new model late '04 as '05. Did you know Nissan now controlled by Renault? Not going to buy any French products! BTW Brembos &18" wheels only on top of line in either Z or G.

I know its not only for straight line ,we test drove when my friend was looking for a car and it wasnt that amazing on the curves or the braking. Reason I didnt like it that much because right after test driving the Z we went to the BMW dealers and my friend bought a 03 M3. Now that car gets respect.
