Exclamation My dad out done me again

My dad bought his first stang new in 1988. he bought an 89 model 5.0 lx fast back. when i turned 18 in 1999 i bought it off of him and put a new paint job on it with the help of my best friends dad. it was black with candy blue flames with a reflective silver base and faded into purple tips. then came the full exhaust and gears. then he responded with a new 99 gt which would just out run me. three months agao i bought my "L" and even when it was stock i killed him so today he picked up his Fire Red 03 COBRA, and the first thing he said was "wanna run em" so tomorrow if it doesn't rain we will se how my truck fairs.

Sweet! I also share a love for my truck and other fast cars for that matter with my dad. He used to race Formula 1, 2, Atlantic in Europe before I was born. I got the L, and he responded by buying a 1967 McClaren F1 Marlboro car...go figure. He actually was just gonna buy a new car, and was looking at an 03 Cobra or 02 Z06, but opted for a friends 320+ hp Audi 01 A6. Can't wait to drive that thing

i have an awsome dad

heres a little history.
he started out with a 53 inline six chevy then to a 67 396 chevell ss, then to 1 rare 67 merc cyclone with a 390 and a top loader, to a 70 chevell ss with the 350 removed and replaced with a mega built 283, he wanted a 70 boss but couldn't afford one till 73 which sucked so he bought a 73 hurst olds. all of these cars he raced. not top fulers but belive me he did not want me near them either. but i spent many hours under classic hot rods of my best friend's dads shop( 31-five window coupe with a 485 horse 289 that shifted at 9000 rpm though the engine ran off gasohol and had 13:1 comp, and the motor was built by Bob Hampshire of findlay ohio. other cars include a 31 sedan with a 400 horse 289, a 50 coupe with a flat head, a 70 falcon sprint with a 71 boss 351 midly built, and currently working on leading the fenders on a 55 chevy, so when my dad found out this was what i was into he didn't try to change me, but support me, which was really cool!

I wish my dad was like that with cars and stuff now, he used to be kinda nutty with it but he slowed down about 20 years ago which is well about the time I was born anyway.

Speed runs in the blood of my family but I think is skipped a generations with the exception of me cause all my cousins could care less but all my uncles and even one aunt love it. My brother goes out to by a bike and he gets a honda Shadow, I go out and by a R1. HAHAHHAHA.
