Nitto user ?'s

I am very interested in NItto drag radials
Are they worth it ?
Do they hook any better then F1's ?
What size are most using? what psi at track?
lastley where are you guys buying them from?

Sorry for so many ?'s but I went to E-town good fri and ran decent 12.77@108 but I know I was smoking the tires for like 200'
and times got worse. need to get 60's to a 1.7-1.8 range if possible.
I will say I did beat my friends Z06 even with smoking the tires.....he ran a 12.85

thanks any info is appreciated

Slick

they are worth it at the track IMO, I ran them at 20 psi and they hooked up great (1.82 60'), but they have to be hot to work...on the street at 30-35 psi they are no better than F1s. size is 305/45/18

I love em. I'm on my second pair. My best 60' has been a 1.712 and generally they average between 1.73-1.77 with 24 lbs pressure. I buy mine through discount tire direct and with my svtoa discount they are $425/pr shipped. They are a tad bit wider than the stock F1's and they look great. You do have to heat the hell out of them though. I drive on mine all summer long and usually visit the track at least once a week and they should last from Feb-Oct when the track here closes. Hope this helps...

I bought a set of 305x45x18's and have 500 miles on them and then bought a set of Hoosier 28x14.5x16 Quick Time Pro slicks and AR 16x10 rims. The Nitto's were better than the F1's but I still have to drive it out easy. I found it hard to get a consistant hole shot. My 60ft time were .1 better than the F1's. I am sorry that I got them. I should have gotten a set of F1's or the Std 555's and then got the slicks. I haven't tried the slicks yet (it is supposed to rain tommorrow so I may not get to try them out this weekend either.

I love my Nittos. They are an excellent street tire. They don't hook at the track as well as a set of Hoosier's but for a street tire they are excellent!

They are a great choice!!! I have gone 1.67 60' on my Nittos!!!
I run them at 18psi and the trick is to get them HOT...AND THEY DO WORK WELL on the street...Like I said, get'em hot!!!
