? for JLP bar users

I am considering some different traction bars for my truck and need some info on the JLP bars. I am trying to find out what the clearance for my lowered L will be. I have about a 3 inch drop in the back. What I would like to know is if you take the area of the frame where it is flat(parrallel with the ground) how far down do the bars hand down. You could measure it by seeing how far it is from the ground to the frame, and then from the ground to the lowerest point on the bar's bracket then subtract the numbers. If I get that distance I can estimate the clearance on my truck.

I dont have any measurments but I lowered my '02 Hd and installed his bars, I used a 2 inch rear drop and his bars come down low but I have never scraped them on anything, this probably does not help you but just thought I would comment!

I have the JLP bars with some 2" drop shackles. I can not get into my shop(you need to drive down a hill with a lip at the top) with a piece of wood under each tire. I have hit them going into some parking lots too. I do not have his new style front brackets, which give you an extra inch of clearance but I plan to buy them soon. If I had the new style brackets I don't think I would have any problems. Either way they are great bars! The price is excellent and JLP's service is great! -Mat-

Are those the "new" design brackets I have read people talking about?

The picture will help; does not look like they are much lowerer than my deep trans pan, or my PSP drive shaft loop.

Any other info would be greatly appreciated

I just got them a few weeks ago so I would assume they are the new style.

Hey SpankDog; saw that you are in GA. Will you be at the FFW coming up in Gainsville? I am planning on making the trip over there

How are the JLP lift bars on the street? Was wondering because my truck isn't just a track truck, but a daily driver too...

I am a daily driver and you cant hardly notice them on the street. No more wheel hop and and a more positive feel from the rear end is what i notice.
