Yep, I think Redneck Ferrari on here has a hookup for one. 32V 5.4 race motor putting out close to 900, if not more...

From what I've seen it's a pretty bada$$ shortblock. Not sure where the 900hp figure came from...if it was with boost or nitrous. Maybe it had one of Hogan's carb manifolds for the mod motor.

i believe the 900hp is N/A which is pretty amazing. although the 15:1 compression ratio does help achieve that number.

That's right I haven't posted pics of the heads. These are different heads. These are now in transit to someone else on this board, who will eventually have a bada$$ blown L. The 900hp motor heads are done, but I'm not alowed to show 'em.
More, more pics here

I'll sell this one for $23k.
Thats why.
Check out the pics it is one beautiful lump. All billet bottom end. If you want the fastest gen II L, stop right here.
My buddy built it to race NMRA but ran into some health issues and needs to sell it. He's built race engines since 1967.

Wow! That's 2.51 hp/ci, just shy of nhra pro stock's 2.8 hp/ci.

Without giving too much away, are you using a sheet metal intake? Those heads must flow in the 420cfm range for that kind of power...well beyond a 2v, but I guess the 4v's can get some decent #'s. Are the cams in the .700 lift range? What was it going in? Thanks. Very impressive!

87 LX Mustang - gutted and he was trying to get the wieght down to the 1400 lb min (never gonna happen).
The valve train is the hardest (read: most expensive) part of these motors. No one make springs to handle the lift, so you have to improvise alittle. Some rat motor parts, some pro stock bike parts (I think).

So do you build road-race blocks too or just drag blocks?

Race motors. The 358 ci 4v is a race only motor. You could run it on the street, but it's not a commuter.
Lord knows I'm dumb enough to do it, done it before .
I'd have to check w/sleeve manufacturer about RR with the sleeves. They are the same sleeves as a top fuel or funny car. Ductile Iron.
