Cool first time at the track!

went to New England Dragway last saturday with my buddy and his '93 Cobra. we mounted up my Nittos the night before at his dad's garage, at like midnight lol...here are some pics:

and here are the results: at full weight with the hitch, spare, tonneau, tailgate, front swaybar removed and strapped in the bed, and a bunch of tools, Nittos at 22 psi, did 12.98 @ 102 with a 1.82 60'...this was on a pig rich cold weather/street program with very little timing...the Nittos and JLP bars worked great, the truck didnt spin at all, I'm going to remove the hitch and spare now and see how I do, and also ice the intake between runs. oddly, best mph was made on a 13.10 @ 105.66 pass with a 1.92 60' time...that mph shows the trucks potential, I just hammered it to the floor when the light turned on that one...oh well I need to get a chip reburn and and lose some weight!!!

Congrats on the 12's but I really think you should be running at least 12.5's. A 1.82 is a decent short time but your mph is pretty bad for your mods (102). Stock L's run 101.

On the 13.10 pass you had a higher mph because you spun off the line (1.92 short time).

Good luck on the reburn and future passes!!!!!!!!

yeah Joe, I was thinking the same thing...I was expecting like a 12.5 or 12.6 somewhere in that range. the truck definitely isn't making the power it should with a 6# pulley. James (fomocofan) was there and he was running consistent 12.7s with only a 2# pulley and his short times were in the high 1.8s I'm pretty sure there are 3 or 4 tenths to be had in the chip and in weight reductions. traction wasnt a problem, the motor actually bogged on the 1.82 60' pass...I only got like 14 mpg cruising at 80 on the way to the track also, the chip is really rich

Your in the 12's and thats all that matters, unless you got a need for more speed

Well I am sure Bruce has a sickness but it is not for speed or Jager.........it has more to do with the scantily clad trim he is always bringing home
