installed magnaflow mufflers today

installed magnaflow mufflers today

i finally got around to installing magnaflow mufflers on the truck and im very pleased actually...it isnt much louder than stock at idle but it really wakes up when you step on it...i just hope the new muffler smell goes away soon...hopefully in a few months ill upgrade to a bassani catback

hey dude did u get the dual mag set up like on the silver bullet? I ask because that is what i am about to do and havent really heard details yet. I'm doin the dual muffler w/xpipe set up.

hey, ya it was the dual aluminized muffler but i just did the muffler, no x pipe...it sounds much better than stock, i was pleasently suprised, its not redneck loud and thats what i was afraid of but im very pleased

I have the 2 magnaflow set up (no x pipe) as well and am wondering if yours makes a fart sound when you shift from first to second under hard acceleration...and what to do to fix this....it sounds ghetto when it does that....

That fart sound is cylinder cutout created from the torque reduction that the PCM initiates on the full throttle 1/2 shift. Sometimes you can hear it with the stock exhaust if you listen real close

Get a chip, that will get rid of the fart

In the stock program the proccesor shuts down a few spark plugs for a split second when you do the 1-2 shift. the tuners get rid of that.

i didnt notice any fart with the new mufflers but i had it with the stock ones....hmmm interesting...
