Hi guys/gals

My hubby is currently thinking about selling his '97 BMW M3 and getting a '03 Lightning. We went and looked at some, test drove one awhile ago, and he really enjoyed it! There is nothing wrong with the BMW, it's just he is a truck guy...and since I have the "family" comfortable ride...it would be fun to have a truck like that!!!

Is there anything we need to look for in the '03? Any known problems, recalls, etc on them yet? Anything you can help us out with????

Also, we can't seem to decide between the Sonic Blue and the Dark Shadow Grey...does anyone have the Sonice Blue one? Can you post some pictures of it? We have seen it on the internet, not in person, and I can't really tell what the blue really looks like. Some pictures it looks light others really dark?! I know Vinny on here has the Dark Shadow Grey, and it looks AWESOME!!

I have the Sonic Blue and absolutely love it. I was going to get the grey, but saw it at SEMA and thought it looked kind of bland. (Please, no offense to those who have one, just my own opinion).

Now if Ford would just do a paint job w/o the orange peel.........................

 

I just got a sonic blue L. The color looks great. The svt focus has the same color if you can find one on the lot. I would send a picture, but i'm not that high tech yet.

 

i got the drab gray. tying to keep a low profile. if you are judge or a traffic attorney, go with the red/blue. if tickets bother you in the least,,,,

 

Found this one in the 'post a pic of your L' thread that's currently up. Great color, BTW.

Was talking to the owner of an 03 Sonic blue at a grocery store around a week ago.

It looks real sweet except for the rediculous height in the rear...it needs drop shackles badly imho.

If you wait a year or so.....you will be able to get one for a song when the 04-05's are released.

When are the '04s going to be released? July? Any pictures of what the actual production models will look like? I'm a Ford guy through and through, I think the L will make a nice tow vehicle for the Stang...
