Do the '03 L's have the.....

Speed Sensitive Volume???

I did a search and found little. On my '01 L, you just held the volume control down for 5 seconds until you got "Volume #" or something. This doesn't work on my '03, and the owners manual says nothing. Am I just overlooking it, or did we lose it on the 2003's?

Yes it is in the 02's. What it does is automatically adjusts your radio volume up or down according to how fast you are driving. Works really good, I have mine set on 3. I forgot how to set it, I think you hold the power button for a few secs or something like that.

Spank, if you have an 03, you will keep the 6 disc in dash!

As far as speed volume goes, I think it sucks. I had it on my last truck and hated it. If you drive like I do, with the left one the wheel, and the right on the shifter w/fingers on the volume control there is no need! Maybe thats a Texas thing but thats how we do it here! LOL

Cool

Ya know, Fast Gator's right.

Thanks for the info guys. Sucks that we don't have it, but come to think of it, I hardly ever turn the thing on. Just listenin' to the whine....the whine from under the hood, that is. It drowns out the whine from the passenger seat.

Wink

don't know what kind of radio you guys got. but mine has the speed volume that lights up when you push the off-on **** (left) in and hold it in for 5secs, when the radio is already on. then you push the center "sel" control (with the up/down arrows) to control the volume between 0-7, then the whole system competes with the eaton for your ears attention, or something

My 03 has the standard radio/6 cd in-dash unit. It does not have the speed volume control. or at least doesn't work as described above.
