Brembo Upgrade Question

Hey, I was wondering where I could find more information on the Brembo brake kit upgrade for our trucks. Cost, labor, what exactly the kit consists of. Any info would be appreciated.

other options

check out the TCE kit as well. It may be a more affordable option while providing most of the same appearance and performance benefits.

The AP Racing kit from Stillen is a better deal than the Brembo kit. IMHO.

For the Brembo kit like most of the big brake upgrades it's the fronts only. They are a 4-piston caliper (F50) and 355mm 2-piece floating rotor. Expect to pay about $3500 for the kit. It will come with calipers, hubs (2wd), rotors, hats, pads, and SS brake lines.

Check my gallery for some photos. Very easy install. About 2 hours total. I have had both the Brembo and noe the Stop-Tech. Of the two I prefer the Stop-Tech. Bigger pistons and much cheaper pads. Brembo pads will run $200-$400 depending on compounds. The Stop-Tech caliper uses Porsche Twin-Turbo pads at $89 for both fronts. Expect to pay about $1000 less for the Stop-Tech kit.

Porterfield's pads for the Brembos are $179 for the street/race compound.

You could probably get a used set for $1600 including shipping.
