Angry Blew another trans @ Bowling Green today

Midsouthbolt and I were racing. I left spinning as usual. Sprayed in 1st. Ran RPM up to rev limiter on the spray and it never shifted to 2nd. Now its not going into 2nd without letting off the gas then getting back onto the gas again. Im just glad it didnt blow the engine when it hit the rev limiter on the nitrous I guess its Monster box time for me

Wow did you say ANOTHER tranny

Bummer red gen 1 94
Sorry to hear about it Bro.
I know what you mean about spraying and the tranny, when I spray mine, it goes over the usual shift point with the juice before shifting and sometimes I get a little panicy when I see it approaching 6K and it hasn't shifted yet, YIKES.

I call it, STRETCHING THE RODS

No flame intended,
BUT couldn't you drop the shift point to say 5250rpm's with you nitrous program guys?

or I could build you you a 32v monster to handle 8500rpm

Bummer Man, but I know how you feel. Jim was doing some fine tuning on my truck this morning and my trans finally bit the big one. We knew it was having problems, it shifter real slow into 2nd last night, which prob cost me 2 tenths at the track.

Oh well
At least I was at Jims shop when it happened, and I stole his Black 03 Cobra and will be driving it for a few days. Not a bad loaner vehical, huh!!!! LOL

I talked to Jim about the trans today. I pulled the pan and there was no signs of garbage in or around the inside of the trans pan. The fluid was still redish in color and didnt smell burnt. Im gonna check a few more things tomorrow and I will keep yall posted. I hope its what Jim thinks it is instead of what I think it is Looks like I might not see WFC this year

Yeah I heard about yours Don. I wish I could have been so fortunate as to blew my trans near JDM LOL. Good luck on the rental Damn POS trans wont handle my 75hp launch
