Gen 1 question

I have a buddy who found a 94 L today while we went car shopping. He is taking his blazer in on monday to trade in on it. Where is a good place to get Gen 1 performance parts ?? I found a vortech super charger for it today, but whould like to find some other mods as well.

Thanks in advance

REM has Gen 1 does gen1 parts and tuning. Just give them a call. I don't think there's more than a couple GEN 1 things on their website.

Gen1 parts can be found all over the place, no reason to limit yourself to just one shop. They also share many components with the 5.0 Mustangs. Tuning really gives you very little on a N/A Gen1, but IMO Sal is still #1 for Gen1 tunes, if he goes that route.

I wouldn't give REM a single cent for Gen 1 parts, since they don't want to support Gen 1 racing.

Pick up a Mustang catalog. Pretty much any engine part for a stang will fit on a truck. Dave Pickrel(Pickrel Performance) specializes in Gen 1 parts.

I sure do . As a matter of fact, I just had a Gen 1 here for the past week doing custom dyno and driveablity tuning on it. With a YS trim vortech, 75 shot, and some bolt ons, we were able to get 501rwhp and 637rwtq out of it. This truck still has the stock engine in it too, and is currently the fastest stock motored Gen 1 out there according to the owner .

Sorry, no email access from work.

For quick gains:
Underdrive pulleys (3 piece set, I run March 2015's).
Electric fans (I run Flex-a-lite 210s)
Bump timing to 14-16* (requires higher octane)
And full exhaust... I run all Bassani, but you can get some Kooks long tubes ($$$) or other long tubes, and custom fab an exhaust

Right now, I have:
FAL 210 fans
March 2015 u/d pulleys
K&N conical filter
timing @ 14*
Crane "B351" cam (showed no power increase )
Bassani headers, high-flow cats, and rear-exit catback
And ran 14.49@94.68.

If I throw a Vortech @ 10psi on, I could easily see 12s But I don't have that much money to throw around.

393 stroker

This isn't helping your topic but if anyone has any advice -I'd appreciate any suggestions.
I have 94 Lightning roller block that I'm building for my 69 FB mustang and I'm looking to finish the top end. I don't have the cam card but here's the specs:

393 stroker
Scat steel crank, I-beams, .030 flat top w/2 relief cuts 10:1

Comp cams High energy custom grind:
224 intake / 226 exhaust
544 intake / 565 exh @ .050

205 AFR aluminum heads
Hooker super comps, 50series flowmasters
C4 auto 2600 stall / 3:50 posi

Based on those cam specs does anyone have any suggestions on intake and carb? The guy I got the motor from said it was ground for forced induction or Nos -but the compression is high can it take it even w/ ARP gridle etc etc. I don't know cams enough to tell.

I was looking at the RPM Air gap w/No2 ports & maybe Demon 850cfm??? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
