Question What kind of belt is best?

I had thought that gatorback belts were the best, but I'm not so sure anymore...What would cause this belt to look like this in several spots? It is a pretty new belt...

I've been wondering the same thing.....there is a lot of rubber dust everywhere since I started using those things. I think I'm going back to a Gates and maybe drill the upper pulley to let the air escape between the grooves, if I have to. Dale

hmm. what i think is weird is i had a gates belt put on new about a month or more ago and it was skipping bad. it doesn't slip as much now? i think the pulleys is the only way to go for belt slippage. thats just me

I've been running a Dayco PolyCog for the last 6 months
