Just turn the header tips over and run them out the hood, F1 style.

Suavy, shoot me an email about the blower. I talked to Brian Herron from St. Louis a while ago about it. Was told some interesting tidbits and the price he mentioned blew my mind.

By the way, he mentioned some testing being done on a Lightning from MI, maybe it was yours?

cyntaxx,

you got mail!

Brian is a great guy and his group is doing wonderful things with the Lightnings now. Brian's team will be doing the tuning on my truck and we should be putting out about 26 lb's of boost. We have 3 diffrent types of pulley's that we are going to try out to find that sweet spot!
Thanks for your kind comments everyone.

Crp_diem,

I'm hoping for a 10 sec. ride. However, I will post my times and dyno make it or not.
By the way that is one fine looking Silver truck you got there my friend! My truck Suavy is silver and we are going to put a silver truck up there with the black and red trucks this year if you know what I mean!

the only thing you left out is cams, other than that, it should be one helluva ride!! im curious as to the gains the LT's would give you over the shortys at that boost level

I didn't go with the cams just yet. JLP went 10's with stock cams, and tranny!

I have heard some great things about the cams and don't get me wrong they are on my next up list.
I did not go with the long tube just for the sure fact of the price!
I went with the shorty's and am going to compensate by removing the cats and going with a bigger dia. exhaust system. I have a family member who is the manager of a large muffler place who has designed an exhaust system for a heck of a lot cheaper price than whats out there now.
In my opinion the prices for any thing having to do with the lightning is crazy. Take a look at say an old chevy or ford's headers cost about 2 hundred, heads 4 or 5 hundred a set. tranny's about the same. You could build an engine for an old chevy for what we pay for a set of F1's !
I feel that we should not have to pay 2 K for an exhaust system.
Just my .02 cents! Suavy

Thanks Joe, we are putting it in Sunday night and all of Monday. Every thing is coming together fine! If you didn't live so far away I would invinte you over for my wrench fest!
However, if you want let me know and I'll shoot you my address!

What do you think Joe? I think it's looking pretty awsome!

I don't know if you noticed but my Porsche even takes second fiddle to my truck. It's parked next to my engine!

ibfast,
we had to modify that smaller pulley cuz it was rubbing on the nose of the supercharger. This would have been a heat problem but we think we got the kinks worked out of it now.
