Question Another question...Tailights this time..

Over this past weekend I went to FFW and purchased some Euro Tailights from a vendor.. Well after the purchase, my truck was over at the Diablo with a buddy who was having a chip installed..I decided to try em out. Well the dang blasted things didn't work b/c the screw in part on the bulb socket didn't line up with the tailight sockets ..Another problem was the euros only had two inserts for I guess the reverse lights and the brake/ridinglight..My 99 has 3 bulbs so i'm standing there scratching my head wondering where the other on will go. I took them back and told the guy they didn't work and he told me they were for 01s and up . How are some of you guys putting the OEM 01 and up euros on your 99/00? Being the ones I had were some aftermarket, are the OEM 01s made to switch out with the 99/00s?

Thanks

Only 99's have three bulbs. You'd just cut off the parking-light only socket (two wire) and seal up the wire end, or figure out someway to tuck it inside of the fender flare.

Only one of the four tailight designs I've bought and tried over the years had fitment problems, I had to cut a set of tabs off of it to get it to push in.

2001+ lights have had no problem on my 2000.
