Ok, Ill give ceramabrite a try. As far as how did they get this way, I was forced to drive it like 7-8 times this winter, & although I got it washed, I wasnt gonna stand in 18 degree weather & buff my pipes..(Heh heh..."Buff my pipes"..heh heh). I love my truck....but I love my fingers & skin cells more...

Isnt it amazing what driving in the winter will do .I only drove mine once this last winter and the mother was filthy underneath.
someone posted once that they had their stock tips chromed and they looked great .
The best way to clean the tips when they get to that point is to wet sand them. I used 1500 and 2000 grit on mine when they were stock, and it helped to smooth out the finish. After the wet sand, you will need something 3M 10,000 grit polish or the typical Mothers aluminum polish to get rid of the swirling. It won't take you too long, but will be well worth the effort.
Ok...got the ceramabryte. Its doin ok on the parts that are still silver, but the rusty areas & the little specks of...what looks like tar, arent budging. What do you guys think? Sandpaper like Audio 18 said. I have a friend with the Bassani & its way too loud for my taste. I like to hear the blower, & besides..my money is going to mods other than exhaust right now (Love ya Rob & Katy
). So, any help from the wizards would be appreciated..

this is what works for me... rumor has it that the Ceramibrite scratches the heck out of them..
