My dad found a set of 4 wheels and tires of and 01 lightning. The tires are in like new condition and the wheels are jut stock wheels. He wants 1,000 for them is this a good deal. Im about to have to buy 4 tires any way. I also am gonna get these chrome dipped or polished whichever you guys think look best.

 

Just remember that a decent chrome job will cost about 500 bucks. So the sale of your stockers will cover that. You would be looking at about 1500 for new chrome wheels and tires (assuming his tires are almost new).

I've seen chrome reps used with tires for about 1600-1800 bucks.

What about your stockers? Why not get those chrome dipped or polished?

Well I think he wanted an extra set for the chroming. There's some downtime involved and unless you have another set of wheels to drive on until then, I wouldn't recommend having your primary wheels chromed unless it's a local shop that can do it quickly.

 

Every chrome plac e around here is slow. So i would need the stock set of wheels to get around on for the mean time. I found out last nigfht after i posted these were taken of a 02 lightning with low miles h e switched to chrome 20's.

 

You should check the classifieds. Sometimes you can get good deals on stock wheels with tires or chromed wheels...
