Is the Chip really Worth It??????

The reason i ask is because for me it has not payed off. I wanted to get you guys opinion on my two runs with and without the chip. Let me know what you guys think.

The run without the chip was done in really cold weather(40's). The run with the chip was done in low 60's.

Here is a list of my mods:
4lb Pulley
90MM Mass air
Air Filter
Oil Separator
and the mod in discussion "the chip."

With the chip / Without the chip
60' : 1.970 / 1.913
330 : 5.585 / 5.588
1/8 : 8.563 / 8.611
MPH : 82.74 / 81.23
1000 : 11.133 / 11.245
1/4 : 13.325 / 13.477
MPH : 102.71 / 101.11

Let me know what you guys think.

To know if it was really worth it you shoudl find out your a/f's with and without the chip.

That's what's most important.

Doesnt the chip have to be retuned for a 4lb'er and up? 1st, you ran the truck on the stock computer and the pulley. 2ndly, does the chip have the proper tune for the added boost? I know I wouldnt be testing my L like that. But maybe its not a big deal.

SO you lost .06 in traction with the chip (probably the most important part of the 1/4) and you not only gained it back, but also gained .15 sec in the 1/4. I would say it was worth it.

Your chip is doing ok. Not great but ok. What you need to do is drop those Nitto's down to 18lbs and go for the gusto. Get yourself a 1.8 or 1.7 60' and you should be in the 12's. Don't bother with 16lbs. I experimented with 16lbs Friday night and the experiment was a dismal failure (as you could see I was spinning). Although I am officially disappointed with Speedworld's track prep. Can you call it track prep if there is none? Anyway good luck with your truck.
