Nope........but since he has only been registered a short while I am sure he has not had a chance to read your posts and realize what your truck has had done to it.

I have a 100 shot jets in right now. The 150 go in next week at BG for the grudge matches. C16 seems to work well.

Yaeger,
I was at Byron Dragway last year, and the owner of the track told me that a red Lightning with nitrous blew going down the track. I was wondering if it was you. He also told me that the owner got out of his truck and punch his window out.

I can now help answer this question.

I did some racing yesterday at Cecil
Me and Gator were dam near identicle every step of the way

I'm doing it the cheap way with stock tranny, stock exhuast, stock suspension, stock Water Pump, and Stock Fan with a 4lb Pulley and 65 HP of Juice.

He on the other hand has a 6lb lower and a 1-2 upper (give or take a lb) he has suspension work, fan mod, Skinnies, and all the good stuff.

So yes it seems @8lbs of Pulley ("lets say") would be equal to 4lbs plus a 50-75 Shot of juice.

I chose the juice way because after 4 or 5 lbs of extra Pulley,
you are truly putting massive extra heat and cylinder pressure on your motor 24/7. On the other hand with the Juice and 4lb set up,
I can still run mid 12's on gas and street tires, yet push a button and take another 1/2 second off. And this way you are only putting the extra stress on it once in a while NOT 24/7

After running (2) 12.0's yesterday I Cecil I put my 2lb upper on,
"on top of" my 4 lb lower. I didn't like the way it ran, too much of everything too quick. Instant 15lbs of Boost "PLUS" Instant 65 HP of Juice (in my case) even with 28x10 Hoosiers and Truck track Bars it got violent when launching and started hopping actually lowering my 60ft times. But 4lbs and 65HP worked perfect every time. Vinnie took a mild 12 second pass to feel it, he agreed it was strong and smooth the whole way.
In my case "for My Tune" I'm gonna add 10 more Nitrous HP (75 HP JETS) and leave it there while driving the streets with only 4lbs of extra Pulley.

Here's those comparisons
Im #66 (12.0 ET)
Gator #61 (11.9 ET)

Thats a perfect explanation Rob

For the money, juice is the way to go.

Thanks for posting those time slips again..........I'll never get tired of looking at them

Plus there's an added benefit of running the juice plus the boost. Your guys IC's aren't really efficient, but N20 is. So on top of the added Oxygen you get in the chamber, you have the nitrogen cooling off the fuel air mixture on top of that. Basically a poor man's intercooler.. Alot of guys run a small shot on turbo cars to do:

1: Spool up the turbo's quicker
2: Cool the mix alittle more..

So.. Since most of you are already overspeeding your blowers, there's the added benefit of ANOTHER intercooler.

Since the intake is not designed to injest fuel, why should you run a wet shot instead of a dry shot?
What changes exactly need to be made on your chip to run nitrous?

I have plenty of knowledge on racing and wrenching, just none on juice. I have only owned blower cars and trucks. Knowing my driving habits i figured that it would be less wear and tear on the truck by going with nos. Reason being that with a pulley you always have it at the touch of the throttle. With the nos ill arm it when i need it and at the track. I just wanted to know the biggest shot i could go with and be safe. BTW the truck has no power adders at all.

I feel for you YAEGER , I would do the same thing

Our F-150 Bro just did it last week too.
6 lbs and 125 or 150 HP Dry Nitrous
He has a good state of mind knowing he was running it in the danger zone. Just like I knew I was doing yesterday when I added the 2lb upper to my 4lb lower and juiced it, Thank God it wheel hopped and I got out of it. I'm sticking with 4lbs and 75HP max, I feel thats do-able and can be safe with the proper tune.
We know it can do 11's with a 4lb pulley

Crash,
A Nitrous Chip Program will have Lower Timing, Richer A/F, Lower Shift Points, tip in, things like that. When I say lower, I mean lower compared to a performance chip. Your almost better off running it 100% stock with a 50 shot Wet System.

As for Wet VS Dry. On a SuperCharged Motor you DO NOT want to use a dry system. Yes it's true our system is not designed to take raw gas in, (it even removes the teflon on the S/C parts) """BUT""" with a dry system you stand a much better chance to go lean. And if that happens "even for a few seconds" under the wrong conditions, MOTOR GOES BOOM
With a Wet System you know gas is going in.

You always want rich, if you want to be safe.
