a couple mod questions...

hey guys, I am thinking my next mod is going to be an electric fan kit/Cobra R water pump. I am trying to decide between JLP and JDM on this, and I don't want this to turn into a flame war, but I would like you guys' opinions on which is "better" (i.e. cools better, quality, ease of install, etc.)

secondly, I am going to remove a leaf from my rear springs as per this thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...659#post917659
how many degrees of pinion adjustment will be necessary with this drop (about 3.5" total w/ my shackles)? and how will this handle/ride? I plan on running Doetsch Tech shocks, and dragstrip launches are more of a concern than handling in the twisties.

TIA FOR YOUR HELP GUYS!

If you're after cooling I hear the Flexalite 270 is where it's at.

It pushes like 5500 cfm as opposed to 3400 or so from the JDM/JLP units.

I have the JDM kit, It was easy to install and looks factory, can't even tell you did anything to the truck by looking, everything you need is included w/detailed instructions. the kits now come standard with the A/C option and toggle switch which used to be extra. good luck.

I have the JDM kit and the cobra water pump, very nice setup as stated it looks stock and works great. I sure LFP's, JL's or the flexalite will do the job I just liked Jim's setup.

The one I have is the Mark VIII unit. Cost me about 200 bucks including the temp sensor (40 bucks) and wiring/fuses/etc.

Same flow and setup as the JDM/JLP/LFP ones...even used their directions.

one more thing...will taking a leaf out of the rear springs cause the front and rear spring rates/handling characteristics to be "mismatched"? I have Belltech #4804 coils in the front. TIA
