First run of the Spring
First run of the Spring
Was able to get out to one of the local tracks that opened yesterday. Pits were a mess with all the mud, but the weather was tolerable as it reached a high of 41 and there was a little sun.Humidity was 78% and elevation is 1900 feet actual.
I was throughly disappointed with the Nittos Extremes as the "best" 60 foot time I could muster was a miserable 2.3, with a tremendous amount of wheel spin. I ran them at 22# of air.
I switched over to the Hoosiers I ran last year, and the best I could get out of them in the 60 foot was also pretty miserable, being 1.80. I should be in the low 1.70's but the track is still very cold and not hooking yet.
All in all, the day turned out OK as I was able to run several 12.41's with 12.55 being my worst pass of the day. I achieved a best ever 1/8 E/T of 7.93 which is encouraging. All the runs were at 110 mph or better.
Was even able to cut two, thats right TWO perfect lights in the Gamblers race which took me into the final four, before I lost at the tree to a 10.50 Kawasaki. He ran 10.53 with a .524 light, to my 12.55 on a 12.50 dial in with at terrible .673 light.
For the first time out this year I am very pleased.

them nitto's should definately hook better
when you getting that NO2 hooked up?
when you say kawasaki, are you talking a bike?
i've never been to a track where they would let cars and bikes run together

Nittos are not hooking. Nitrous is not going on.(resold it for what I paid for it)
The only reason they let bikes in is because it was a Gamblers Race.
I should get into the 12.20's soon on just the chip, pulley, and filter. And of course the Hoosiers and tractions devices I run.
