newbie. wants to know how to smoke tires

Hi.
I just bought a new 2003 Lightning after seeing it debut on the show Trucks. During that show the host was shown smoking the tires with the truck stationary. By putting my foot on the brake and the other on the gas is that the way to do it? Dosent that also smoke the back brakes? And how bad is that?

Just put your foot in the brakes lightly and stomp the gas you will make plenty of smoke. Yea the brakes get a lil action for for short times it isn't gonna hurt anything.

Biggest tip ever when it comes to roasting the tires, CLOSE THE WINDOWS! I learned the hard way.

26x11.5x16 MT ET Streets mounted on 16x8 AR Baja's.

No screws or tubes........tires never moved on the rims after seating.

I also run tubeless/screwless, but was running 19 psi
I have those tires Joe, and NO matter how hot I got them, I would still spin them thru first gear. Thats why my best 60, is only 1.71

Now that I bought a set of taller tires (28") Iam hoping that the reduction of my gear ratio will let the truck stick better

Thumbs up Re: newbie. wants to know how to smoke tires

1) Fifteen feet of chain
2) Twelve year old Oak

(Remember to hook up to the hitch receiver not the bumper!)

Have at it!
