I have those tires Joe, and NO matter how hot I got them, I would still spin them thru first gear. Thats why my best 60, is only 1.71
Now that I bought a set of taller tires (28") Iam hoping that the reduction of my gear ratio will let the truck stick better

Anyway.......those Hoosiers are an awesome tire and I doubt they will stick due to shorter gear ratio but more because the compound is killer.
Good luck Bruce.

Enjoy it while you can.
Some day like Gator and "all of us" are saying,
You will be trying to figure out how to [b/NOT burn rubber[/b]
I cant WOT my L in First Gear period and that sucks

Some take a few weeks to break in, and get faster

I know a good way. Find a road with a steep hill on it. Drive about halfway up the hill and come to a complete stop. Let off the brake and start coasting backwards down the hill. Then punch it and hold the pedal to the floor.
Hate to sound like a jerk, but ....
1) I don't think a Lightning is the right truck for you (IMO mind you)
2) The L on that episode was a True Blue 2002
I am a jerk aren't I? I'm sorry. Really, I am.

Step 1: Place Right Foot On Far Right Pedal (This Is The Gas Pedal)!
Step 2: With A Steady Quick Motion Firmly Press Right Foot Downwards Until The Pedal Hits The Floor.
Step 3: Look Up At The Rear View Mirror (Located On The Center Of The Inside Of The Windshield). Notice The Rear Of The Truck Starting To Disappear. Caution: This Is Not Your Eyes Playing Tricks On You, You Have Finally Strarted A Burn Out. If Nothing Happens You're Not In A Lightning So Please Step Out Of Your R/T!!!

WOW... I'll have to agree with Joe here. No offense meant at all... but if you bought one of these trucks and don't know how to do a burnout it might be better if ya just leave the keys on the table or risk hurting the truck or yourself... oh well my 2 cents
