Blower rotors? Does teflon need to be removed?
Blower rotors? Does teflon need to be removed?
Have a Nx kit to put on 00 lightning. Was talking with Johnson Motorsports out of AL. They were telling me before i bring it in for a chip and dyno tune. I need to take my blower off and have it sent to eaton and have the teflon removed off of the rotors. Tech said, The teflon over time will become brittal from the nitrous and would begin to break off and go threw the engine. Any info on this procedure would be most helpful.

There was a post about this a while back. The teflon flaking was worse in 99 and 00.
They had a graphite impregnated rotor set up and the poster was replacing his rotors with them.
My 99 has 20+ k miles and I saw the teflon coming off.
