Grinding Feeling At Low Speeds

Help! I am getting a slight grinding feeling through the pedals and steering wheel at low speeds, not noise, just a seat of the pants feeling-vibration. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Mark

Have you had the front pads/rotors inspected lately?
That'd be my guess without looking at it.
Good luck and let us know.

Not many Miles

Only have 14k on the truck, and wouldn't I get that only when braking?

mark: Because of your miles, I don't think it's your pads/rotors and you said you got the vibration feeling without braking. I think it may be in your steering gear box(not sure of the correct terminology, but it's the rusty 'box') or in your power steering pump???

I think it is ALL FORDS that have noisy pumps.
I know my two Rangers and two F150s had em.

I've felt a similar problem with the steering and brakes. The dealer looked at it and it was simply from the tires that were flatspotting on the outside edges of the front tires ( only 10K miles on em ). Put em on the back and"work" them down if you know what i mean. This solved the problem for me........

I have the same prob with my tires developing flat spots and making a "roaring" sound. For some reason it's only two. I move them to the back and "work them down" but it doesn't help. As soon as I put them back on the front the noise is back.

I originally thought it was caused by my shackles changing my pinion angle, but when I rotated my tires I realized what it really was.

Hey guys, does tire air pressure seem to change anything. I think I have the vibration you are talking about.

Just curious
