Ok, before i hurt the truck, Fuel Filter Help!
i'm doing my 10,000 mile maintaince, and i changed my fuel filter at about 6,000 miles, so im changing it again, and for some reason the lines do not want to come off.... when i first changed the filter they came right off.... im using that tool, but they will not come loose at all.... i even unscrewed the bracket and took it off so i could have more leverage,,, any suggestions??
Its the small blue platic tool
Undo the little clips.. slide them back., then... place the tool over the staight steel line on the filter and slide it into the connector. Now with tension inside the spring, pull the line from the filter.

f this mother ****** god d*mn filter, im never ever buying Wix POS filter agian!!!! i got the one end off, i've allready got it off the "ridge" of the filter, thats why my "tools" wont go in there to release it, because it's allready release, i just wont slide off now, the one side did w/ alot of messing with, but the other side, i even put the side of the line against the frame, and just pulled as hard as i could and it wouldn't even budge...
It's not the WIX as the same thing happens to me everytime I replace the Ford filter. Try and wiggle the line while applying pressure to pull it off. It takes me longer than everyone else that has posted when changing their filter but it finally comes off.

Just did mine Sunday. I pulled and pulled as well with the tool inserted. Took off the bracket for more leverage. The bitch finally let go on one side and I got a gas shower. The other side, I just wiggled it slowly and didn't fight it. Much better. Hang in there.
