? on mods I can do and keep my warranty

I want to do a JLP Intake kit, extrude honed upper plenum, single blade throttle body, and full JDM exhaust (long tube headers). Also with the plenum do i need to port match the throttle body and supercharger intake. How much power gain do you think i will see from this like 30hp or less.

You just chose the mods that make the least amount of HP for the $$$

Might as well add the Plasma Booster to that list

Warranties are up to the decision of the dealer as to what gets voided.some dealers will let you do just about anything and other will void it for a K&N filter.Stan

put anything you want on there and ALWAYS go to a LINCOLN/MERCURY dealer. think about it... how many Lightnings do you think they see in there for service? they have no idea what a stock Lightning looks like. I have had very good luck with my dealer - and I have quite a few modifications... even on my old truck, there was never an issue.

Well there

are other mods but they wont affect your horsepower or torque.. I have asked this same question and you are about where you can be.. I seriously doubt that any change to the exhaust is going to get you any add'l output since you arent pushing enough through to have the stock exhaust slow it down on the way out..
I am thinking of getting the Microtuner, since it hooks up to the ALDL port and it downloads the stock programming before it uploads the new program... you can always revert back to stock before you take it into the dealer.. and you dont have to mess with the chip...
that would be my only suggestion.. now if you want to talk about other mods..

Unfortunately that's not necessarily the case anymore. According to Superfords, Ford is cracking down on warranty work and is inspecting suspected performance modded vehicles. Remember, it's Ford who is footing the bill, not the dealer, for warranty work. Dealers will soon be very cautious for fear of not being reimbursed. Things are on the change and modding vehicles will be a risky endeavor.

Well thanks for the replies. I guess I will stick with what I have maybe I will just change the exhaust for the sound. Oh well maybe after the 100,000 is up I can play around with the L's engine alittle. Might as well put that money towards some 20's I dont think they can void a warranty for that, but with my luck I would be the first one.

If your worried about your warranty, DO NOTHING to the truck! Leave it the way it came off the showroom floor.
That way you will save yourself the hassles that come with dealing with Ford on warranty issues.
But as even SuperFords has said about the blown Cobra motor, its stock and Ford is refusing to honor the warranty

I agree with going to a L/M dealer. I stopped and looked at a Maurader, The salesman had never heard of a Lightning. This dealership is closer to me than my SVT dealer. They said they would be very happy to thke care of all my service needs.

Some people have had GREAT service from Lincoln/Mercury
dealers on the Lightnings. Some have gotten carpet
replaced and window seals and new seats and and and ....

It's worth a shot if you develop a "relationship" with the
mechanic that works on your vehicle.......

My .02 ...
