I was readin my girlfriend's brothers' SportCompact the other day (he's a riceboy) and he's ravin about the new Mitsubishi Evo III with front mount intercooler and AWD how its gonna smoke all the new American stuff out there. The one they tested in Japan went 13.5 @ 102 mph. now i can't totally fathom how a 102 mph trap in a 3000 lb car is anything to be afraid of...??? they were bringing it up to 6k and dropping the clutch. I can't wait to read some troll threads about this thing on L, 03 Cobra and LS1 forums from Mitsu enthusiasts. KEEP ME POSTED!

 

thats the Jap version. The US version is less radical.

Like any Mitsu though, they will respond good to mods and reliably at that.. Unlike the ugly WRX...

 

It's actually nice to see that in the next couple years, there are actually going to be some VERY VERY VERY respectable four-bangers out there, as opposed to the riced out garbage we have been subjected to for the last 15 or so years (with very few exceptions). You'll have the EVO8 the WRX Sti, Neon SRT-4, Turbo SVT Focus (maybe?), Chrysler Crossfire, Pontiac Razor (or something like that?).......................should be a very interesting '03 thru '06. They would make some very interesting daily drivers!!
