Traction bars

I just installed JLP Traction bars and the ride is horrible. Is this the cost of having traction or is there something else I can do? When shopping for T bars, I remember JDM had longer (58") bars, stating they wouldn't affect ride. I installed it with proper torque specs. Comments?

I think someone should re-read the instructions. Only bars that hender ride quality are the caltracs.

Caltracs shouldn't affect ride quality either. The only way Caltracs can affect ride quality is if you leave them pre-loaded. When they are unloaded, ride should be stock as nothing is "connected" so to speak until periods of hard accelleration, which at that point they are doing their job.

My point exactly. How many drive around with them preloaded? Horrible *** ride quality under pre-load.

Anti Rattle Kits or not, they are noisey while not pre-loaded.

I guess it's personal preferance. I used to drive around on mine preloaded and the ride was tons better. Less slop, more stable, less ***-wiggle. I liked it preloaded.

I changed from a set of Truck-Traks to a set of JL bars and the ride did not change. You never know they are there.
The only thing that changed was my 60', which was reduced by .2
