I just got my KB on this weekend and although I have not had a chance to get it to the track yet, I can feel a measurable difference between the KB and Eaton. I am only running about 12#'s on the stock internals right now, but this thread has me thinking I would be safe running a little bit more. It is a 2000 after all.

??

one question,

is it advantageous to run with a hard tonneau on for the extra weight one the back tires for traction, or would the extra weight slow it down? my question pertains more to an L, but is applicable to either truck.

Yes 1 more thing that was on *Pump* gas Too.......

The cover helps with wheel spin but the extra weight does slow it down a bit..............JL

I ran 20 psi with 93 Octane Texaco had no pinging at all. It's amazing how well these trucks respond to the new blowers.

All I can say is the KB blower is awesome. I installed mine this weekend and I was blowing the tires away at light throttle.

Are you sure? I think its an 03... thats why its lasted through a suprising amount of abuse. In the process of trying to kill it he's seeing just how far you can push the new block casting and new rod material.

I'm very sure it's an 02. I don't really think you'll see much of reliabilty difference between 02 and 03 blocks. There haven't been many block failures.
