why isn't there any stroker kits yet........Or are there

As any "L" owner should know these blocks are bigger than a 460 block and the bottom ends are better than an "FE" motor
so we diplace only 330 Ci i want to see a stroker with the 4v heads and a KB or a works

"There's no replacement for displacement"

BTW on the topic of "or is there" i heard and only heard that one of the supporting vendors was toying with one and a friend of mine had it installed so i was wondering.....................????

Uhhh, unless I'm missing something, the 5.4 is a stroked 4.6. I don't think you can get much bigger before cylinder walls become paper thin and the rods are a yard long.

We can get you a stroker kit, we've done a few for customers. The main issue is just that the billet steel stroker crank is not an "abundant" part. I took over a year to get the first ones, and we've only got a couple left. Wish one was going in my truck .

The current kit we can get you would make your motor 354 ci with a .020 overbore.

While we're at it here.....will the new '03 block take a 3.700 inch bore ???? Anybody know that one ? That would be almost 358 inches with a stock crank.

Dale, no block is going to safely take any more than a .020 overbore. Even though the 03 block has more beef on it, the cylinders are still in the same place so there is no added material "between" them.

Wink

I'm pretty certain there will be a 354 Gen2 on the tracks this spring... not mine... although I almost bought into it... 2900 for just the kit was a bit too rich for me considering the downside risk of testing a block like that.

It's a little more than $2900, the crank alone is $2200 .

I've got 2 5.8l (alittle over 358ci) 32v mod motor's right now. One belongs to someone else on this board. One has a 3.7 bore.
Sleave the block and you can get 5.8. Modmax sells stroker kits, but beware as the crank they sent needed to be re-sized to fit the block and of coure re-balanced

EDIT: You don't need SHM either

My 99 SHM DOHC with bits and pieces of the MOD MAX Kit measures 360 C.I.

Wraps high...makes loads of true RWHP and torque.

You guys need to talk to people who deal in engines...and mostly engines.

Contact Randy at True Blue Performance or Sean Hyland Motorsports.

They offer the parts to build a stroker from a 5.4 2V and a 5.4 4V

They are costly but it can offset you buying a works or KB blower then crap out your bottom end and be back to sqaure one!

Like posted above.....There is nothing like pure displacement and true Horsepower!

Can you tell me a little more about the engine with 3.700 bores ?

Is it a sleeved standard 5.4L block ?

By the way, NICE stuff !!
