Installed new mods last night, have ?'s..
I just installed a set of high flow cats and the exhaust shop left a little leak that I have to take it back in to get fixed today but that's not a problem. Anyway I also installed a JLP 5lb pulley and a Diablo chip and have a mix of half 91 octane and half 93 octane and when getting on it, it did ping a bit, not too bad but any pinging is bad enough. I know with my mustang the computer is supposed to learn with the new chip and settings does anybody know if this is true for our trucks, should I wait it out a little and see if it get's better or am I going to have to run octane booster? Maybe I should send the chip back and have them back off some of the timing on it. Anybody have the same experience? Thanx guys!!

I would run some Toulene or maybe mix it with some 104 or something. Pinging is never good and I'd ease up on the throttle until it goes away or get a reburn.
If I were you, I'd dyno it and find out the AFs across the board and send the graphs to whoever programmed your chip. Also, I'd give them a call and find out the parameters of it and whether you should be running 91 oct or step up to 93 if possible.
I know my street side is burned for 91 even though I get 93 just to account for bad gas and if I get stuck in the boonies with only 91 or something.
Good luck.

I would take it easy and burn that tank of gas. Get some fresh 93 octane and try it out. If you have pinging, send the chip back for a reburn. If you are going to run 91-93 octane with this chip there is no sense in playing around. Pinging kills motors.
