Did you up the fuses for the headlights? Give that a try, I had to do the same on my HID upgrade. They need close to 200 watts to ignite and sometimes your stock fuses dont give enough consistent power to get them warmed up.! Give it a shot! It worked for me.

instead of hard wiring i would contact Johnny Liu at www.illusion-lighting.com, thats who did mine, he will make you a kick a** harness that does the job well...Give him an e-mail and see what he can do, tell him Jonathan Hirsch sent you! P.S. 75 degrees figure your ballasts are around 60, thats on the colder end fro them!

Did your kit come with new relays? If not, thats your problem.

I had the same problem when i placed HID's in the Cobra. Its annoying.

On the L, i have the Sylvania kit and have not one complaint. Never have any issues with em. 2 nice fat relays and painless wiring and install.

They may not be as pretty as the 8000 or 9000K kits, but they are legal and true plug and play for the same price as just the ballasts and bulb kits which scatter the hell out of the light in your stock reflectors.

I take it your HID's are not wired to the battery, but use the stock headlight system?

If so, they're struggling to pull enough current through the system to start when the bulbs are cold... You might want to look into tapping their power off the battery rather then the headlight system. Just use the headlight system for the relay trip.

Pawn's right

HID's are fine in cold weather -your street lights work don't they. They're very sensitive to voltage fluctuation though.
